Principal's Message
Dear Bronco Families,
Welcome to the new school year! It is an honor to serve the staff, students, parents and community as the Principal of Rancho Santa Fe Elementary. We are thankful to all of our families for your continued support and partnership in your child’s learning. As we prepare for your child’s school experience, we wanted to share some important information to ensure a safe and successful start to our school year. Please read through the following important information with your child. We want your child and your family to have an outstanding year on The Ranch at Rancho Santa Fe Elementary School!
Please note our school hours are 7:40 AM to 2:25 PM. The campus will open for students at 7:15 AM. Breakfast will be served starting at 7:15 AM, and instruction starts promptly at 7:40 AM. Please see the attached Closed Campus letter. Visitors and Volunteers will not be permitted on campus until they have received in person training- dates to be shared soon. All students will go directly to the cafeteria or classroom upon entering campus. We have many safety protocols that we will spend several days practicing and reviewing with students once we are in the physical building.
SCHOOL SAFETY
Important components of school safety at Rancho Santa Fe Elementary for students, families, and staff:
➔ Cars must stop prior to crosswalks when children are present and wait for the crossing guard to signal cars to move through
➔ School gates are closed and locked during school hours
➔ All classroom doors are locked at all times
➔ All visitors and/or volunteers must check in and out through the front office
◆ The school has the authority to not allow visitors on campus at their discretion
➔ After volunteers apply and are approved, volunteer opportunities must be pre-arranged with the classroom teacher and communicated to the front office prior to volunteering
➔ Staff participate in safety protocols and training throughout the school year
Parking Lot Information
Just a reminder the front drive-through is for BUSES ONLY. The rear lot will be for PARENT Drop Off & Pick Up. Cars will not be allowed to pull into the front drive-through during the following times and will be redirected to exit through the same entrance we enter. For the safety of all children, please do not use the parking lot as a drop off. Stay tuned for a follow up email on protocols and a map. Your support of and adherence to these guidelines during arrival and dismissal times are paramount to safe and expedient transition of our children between school and home.
Again, welcome to The Ranch. We are excited that you are joining us for the 2023/2024 school year!
